Fathers name Harendranath Gupta and mother Saralasundari Devi.
Harendranath Gupta was a commercial artist; He also drew pictures in the popular Bengali magazines of that era.
In contrast to his royal devotion and conservatism stood mother Saralasundari Devi.
Literary reading was the only purpose of his life.
He was a staunch anti-British nationalist in political ideology
